December 18th Buddy Club is hosting a Media Day to debut their Civic Time Attack car. They will also be introducing their GTR Time Attack, but really, who cares about Nissans. The event is being advertised on their website, so click the Buddy Club link or photo below for more details. Other cars and drivers have been invited, so you should see some spectacular action out there. The image below is linked from their website.
Buddy Club has been nice enough to invite Hasport as well. We will be bringing out the 88 CRX and 96 V6 EK to do a little track time. Are you curious to see if a V6 car can turn? Me too. Come see the results, or just come say Hi if you in the area.

I just had my first podcast interview the other day
I have been talking to coworkers about starting a podcast based on conversations with the people I know in the sport compact industry. I thought it would be interesting to hear what goes on in our industry and get to know some of the people behind it.
Well, someone beat me to it. Will Cannady, and he has a podcast called Will's Carcast. He gave me a call a few days ago and we had a nice chat about the past and present of Hasport and Honda engine swaps. If you click here you can listen. There are some other great interviews with Ali from Toda, Bob from Golden Eagle, Jerod DeAnda, Nads from Super Street fame and others. Definitely worth a listen.
I don't know about you, but I just can't get enough Honda Performance news. If you'd like know more about what Hasport is doing, you can follow me on Facebook and Twitter. Links below.

Too Much Good Stuff (part 2)
To read part 1 of "Too much Good Stuff" scroll down to the previous post. Part one covers the first 4 of 9 project cars
As I was saying before I happily let Thanksgiving take over the week, I'm faced with 9 project cars at the moment. Each has a different performance goal. I'm looking to you for input to help decide which cars get moved to the front of the stove and which cars to the back burners.
One reason Hasport uses project cars is to test and develop new products. This is how we make sure we have the best parts. An equally import reason for projects is for education. Got a problem with a swap? Call us, we've probably seen it before and can help.
Anyway, here are the other 5 project cars.
1993 Civic Hatchback
Power - K20A3 and TSX 6 Speed Trans
Status - No engine, sitting since 2006
Purpose - See if we can outdo Top Gear USA's Project Sipster, they used a brick-like 81 Rabbit and got over 70 MPG and were able to do 0-60 in under 7 seconds. We should be able to beat that and look good too.
1988 CR-X Track Attack
Power: Supercharged K24A1 and RSX Type S transmission
Status: Still running strong
Purpose: Limited Class Time Attack Car
1986 CR-X NASA Time Trial Car
Power: B16A
Status: Ex SCCA GT-Light
Purpose: Put some old hardware to a good use.
1994 Honda Prelude
Power: Turbocharged K24A2 with JDM Integra Type R transmission
Status: Under construction
Purpose: Take the Super Lap Battle F Unlimited record.
86 Civic Hatchback
Power: Multiple - D-series, B-series, ZC
Status: Under construction
Purpose: A tribute to Honda's performance roots
There they all are, 9 project cars that will be worked on over the next year. Some you may see one at Eibach, or at Redline Time Attack, or Super Lap Battle, and maybe we might be able to go out east this coming year. Let me know if you have a favorite and want more info or questions because you have a similar project. The reason we screw around with these cars is so you don't have to.
Stop by if you're in the neighborhood.

Too much good stuff (part 1)
Remember the AM/PM commercial from a few years ago? A guy comes in to AM/PM looking for a snack and is paralyzed by the overwhelming number of choices. That's how I feel each morning when I walk in to work. Right now I have 9 project cars staring at me. I know what you're thinking, "are you complaining or bragging?" Actually I'm looking for some guidance. Time is at a premium and I need to prioritize. I want to know, If it was your decision, what would you build?
Each one has a different performance goal. Are one of these projects something you've thought of doing? Let me know what you think in the comments, here is a quick rundown of 4 of the project cars.
2001 Civic Sedan
Power - K24A3 and RSX base model trans
Status - Using to comute to work, 22 miles each way.
Purpose - Economical daily commuter vehicle, but still kick the ass of an RSX or EP3.
96 Civic Hatch
Power - J32A2
Status - Just returned from Super Street FF Battle 3rd place finish.
Purpose - To prove you don't have to give up handling with a V6 swap.
00 Honda Insight
Power - K20Z3
Status - Current land speed record holder for G/GT (2.0L/Production Bodied 2 Seater) 157.869MPH.
Purpose - First 200 mph stock bodied car powered by a 2.0 liter motor.
94 Civic
Power - J35A9 (Ridgeline engine)
Status - No engine, gathering dust
Purpose - Turbo V6 Drag Racer
Well let me know which of these projects interest you. I will return with a description of the other 5 projects in a later post.
